Different material in bezels on GMT-Masters and Subs???

I recently purchased my second rolex, a 14060M COSC, and when I compare it with my GMT-Master 16700 I notice a difference in the bezel appearance. The bezel on the sub feels much more substantial and robust. Are there any differences with regards to material (aluminum in both?) and thickness? Even the click sound is different, the sub sounds much more "massive" when you turn the bezel...

In addition, the whole watch feels so much more solid, I thought they shared the same case (expect the caseback which is a bit thicker of course).

Any thoughts from you guys?

You might like to read Sheldon's article on the differences. The Sub bezel is thicker.

The reason for that is quite simple the Sub is a diving watch, bezel only turns one way.And it must be more substantial and robust.plus easier to set and rotate while wearing gloves etc, while using it what the watch was made for, underwater scuba diving.
