Personally I wouldn’t do the trade. I’d keep the Kermit

Strictly based on market conditions, it's a very fair trade.

I made mistake 2 years a go, let my kermit be servicing by rolex , they do polishing , since then I rarely used watch . Daytona is in very good condition , not polished - like the old style of slim hands

Ich würde den Tausch machen. Daytona spielt in einer eigenen Liga.

Strange
I was under the impression that a professional polishing by an authorized Rolex service center would leave your timepiece in excellent condition. Did yours come back over polished? Was it the first polished ever done?

Yea , that was first polish, but edges didn’t have anymore that edge , and sides of the watch seems like they are little curved because of that . Stupid stuff, especially when you pay more then 500 €

The Daytona (if in good condition) is spectacular watch Then over time a classic Submariner you can add it |

That was my initial thought. I always wanted Daytona , but back then didn’t have 10 k for a watch . Paid sub for 4 k and now with crazy prices i am in position finally to get SS daytona

I have traded a kermit for a black 116520, thats a fair trade. I did also go get another kermit after that. If I were you I’d grab the 520 then find unpolished kermit down the road if you miss it. I think the Daytona will be worth more long run also

If you always wanted an 116520 I say do it. If you just were thinking it’s going to be worth more then I’d skip.

Depends ....are you the original owner of the sub? Just keep in mind if you regret it, getting another Kermit won't be easy. Daytona is 16 years old...any idea on history and condition?

Seems like a fair trade.
Go for it. Personally, I would just add the 520 and keep the Kermit. One polish by RSC should be fine. . . . |
