Blue Omega Seamaster 300M with the 8800 movement for a new Tudor GMT?

Hello TRF folks! About to make this trade, just wanted to see what y’all think about it. Just a little background, apart from the Seamaster, I have a SubC Date and a Hamilton Khaki. Thanks!

What is a "8800"? It can't be $8800, not for a Tudor.

That's the Omega movement reference.

OP - I would not do the trade. The new SMP is fantastic in every way.

No. But that’s a biased answer from someone who prefers to keep watches already acquired

When the question is dumping an Omega for a Rolex/Tudor, the answer is always to dump it

I would keep the Seamaster over the Tudor.

Since you have a Sub I say do the trade. I know a lot of people hate on Tudor but the GMT is truly a special piece IMO.

This is exactly my reasoning. Also considering a white OP39 for a dresser watch.

The new SMP is superior in every way to the Tudor.

Both great watches. I prefer the Omega by far. Gorgeous watch with the ceramic dial. The movement is better than what Tudor offers (as well as Rolex).

But in the end, it's what YOU want and not anyone else.

I thought about it long and hard and decided to keep the Omega AND add the Tudor to my small collection. I’ll try to go through my AD to increase my history, but if anyone knows of any ADs in the Los Angeles area that has one in stock on the bracelet, please let me know!

Patrick (OCwatchguy) has one on his site right now. He’s in Orange County. Great guy, and just opened a new shop.

Thanks for the heads up! Might be a small thing, but if I were to buy it out right, I’d like to have my name on the card. I know the name on the card doesn’t really matter warranty-wise, but maybe it’s more of a sentimental thing.

Dump the SMP and, if you want it again, reacquire when it gets rid of the overly-defined laser-etched wave dials.

Why would they dump the thing that makes them unique
