Sub or Yacht for Late 30's Woman...
My GF is now, because of me, a watch lover. She loves the idea of a Sub on rubber for herself. She's sporty so this fits her style.
My plan next year is an engagement ring and a new watch engraved. The Yacht 40mm blue face has caught my eye though. Any thoughts on the Yacht vs. the sub for a woman? Any women on here that wear a Yacht or sub to chime in?? Thanks team. As these watches are difficult to get I need to plan well in advance. |

My wife preferred the two-tone YM. She liked the bezel, and the dial choices.

37mm YM may fit her wrist better, depending on what she likes to wear

Are you sold on it being a new piece? I have 2 subs and prefer the size of the 16610 on my wrist. The newer maxi case can feel a bit big at times.

Not sold on it being a new piece. If I went TT I would go used because there is a dramatic price difference. She can handle a larger size as she wear a Tissot (44mm?) often.

Sub or Yacht for Late 30's Woman...
My wife wears the 40mm RG YM on OF. She loves it and wears it most of the time. She also has a 36mmdj with diamond bezel and pink floral dial, 39 OP Grape, and a couple yg ladies models from my mom. these are her watches. The BB Dark is mine.

I see 40mm time to time and it just doesn’t look right unless you’re fairly tall and svelte. Wrist size is very important as well. Otherwise it just looks like you’re wearing your boy friend or husband’s watch. TT also works well. Here are some great shots of 40mm from Google images..

I have the LVc; one the reasons correlates w/my birthstone being emerald. IF I were to do a YM I’d go for the RG/Chocolate. I think that’s a stunning piece. Best wishes...

Warning: If she can't wear 904L next to her skin then you have to get her a solid gold Rolex. Because TT or regular YM have steel backs. So you better talk to her and maybe have her come to the AD to try some on and see how her skin reacts to 904.

My wife is petite, so 31mm OP is her choice. She has some other watches up to 36mm, depending on the case shape, lugs, etc. she does not like clocks on her wrist.

My wife has thin wrists and preferred the RG 2T yachtmaster black dial.
She liked it because it can be used for all her occasions eg semi-formal , business meetings, work, hiking, casual/social etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have the green Sub and had the rhodium YM. The YM is a bit smaller on the wrist. The clasp is also smaller since there's no glidelock on the YM. I love both and am waiting on the new RG YM oysterflex. If she likes sporty, you can't go wrong with the sub or YM.

I’m a woman. Love love love my Sub. Best decision ever. So much more functional than watches marketed to women.
Tried a 36 mm Yachtmaster but it felt too small. For reference, my left wrist measures 6.25” with a tape measure pulled tight at the wrist bone. |

My wife (6"wrist) loves her DJ36, she also has a 50mm Seiko Tuna. Another lady I know, An SA at a watch boutique with a 5" wrist rocks her Batman. A woman can wear anything a man can. You have great intentions I'm sure but If it were me I'd let her make that personal choice.

My wife is 60 years old and her 28 looks perfect on her. I can picture a young woman getting away with 40 or better yet 36 but a petite 60 year old no. Hell Im starting to think my DSb is to big for my age. Btw I'm 6' 210

I think 36 is about right, 40 has a very oversized boyfriends watch look to me, especially the maxi case.
Depends on the lady though. |

I would think the RG YM on OF would be perfect, based on what she likes.
