JLC Polaris Chronograph
Hi
A couple of weeks ago I visited my local AD just to browse and happened to try on the JLC Polaris Chronograph in blue. Because I have a 6.5 inch wrist, I expected it to be too big. However the watch is fairly thin and has a short lug to lug height, so it ended up being an acceptable fit. Since then, I have been obsessed with the Polaris. Unfortunately, the only way for me to purchase it is to let go of another piece of roughly equivalent value - my 116710LN. The other watches in my collection is a BB58 (watch I wear the most), Omega globemaster (currently trying to sell but expecting to take a bath on it) and a GO Sixties that I absolutely love. So, should I go ahead and sell my GMT to fund the Polaris or do you think it's a bad trade that I'll end up regretting? I would be grateful for your thoughts. |

I would keep the GMT and sell the BB58 or GO. Polaris Chrono is a very nice watch.

I like both the Polaris and Polaris Chrono a lot also. Haven’t seriously looked into one but saw they weren’t outlandish $. In your situation I’d sell the globmaster and add funds to pick up a grey/used Polaris chrono. Good luck.

I wouldn't sell either of those. The BB58 is the best everyday watch I've had and is just so perfectly proportioned and comfortable. The GO is a stunning dress watch which I regularly wear to the office. The GMT is probably the watch that I wear the least (other than the globemaster which is going).

That's my ideal scenario but reluctant at this stage to spend more money on a watch. We have other priorities.
