What Rolex SS professional models seem to be the most prevalent to come by at an Auth
Currently awaiting a Ref# 216570 Explorer II Polar and would like to hear others experiences for wait times when purchasing from authorized dealers.

I put a deposit down on my paid half up front and completed the purchase for my JC DDDB 11 days later. The crazy thing was that another AD called me 3 days later to offer me the same watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

YM2 is perhaps the most common followed by the Explorer 2.
Explorer 2, Explorer, Air King have all been a rarer sight recently but I'm used to seeing at least one of the YM2 or Explorer 2 in the case or in the back. |

I have only ever seen one Air King in person and looking back I wish I would have purchased. The SA had me try it on, but I was looking for something else at the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

On my last visit to my Ad they had a black and white dial Explorer 2 in the show case. Had a Deep Sea black dial too. That was about 6 weeks ago.

The Exp 2 is not to hard to get from an AD. I was offered one about 2 months ago but I turned it down. Still waiting for the DaytonaC white dial which the AD promise me next year. I'm happy to say she hasn't let me down yet.

I see Yachtmasters I and II at many dealers. Watched a DSSD black being placed at my AD recently, my SA said they had no one waiting for that.

I saw two yachtmasters with the ice blue second hand in my AD two weeks ago when I got my explorer. Came back a week later to pick up a repair and they were still there. There was also a slightly smaller one. Funny because, imo, that’s the best looking yachtmaster.

I ordered a DJ41, allocated piece a year ago paid out front in full (15% disc.) and was quoted 4 weeks. It took 4 weeks to the day.

AD usually has a Milgauss, Explorer I, DSSD, SD, and Air-King in the back.
I suspect they also have no-date Subs, but they only bring 'em out when they're certain someone is about to make a sizable purchase. I suppose that's speculation, though.

In the past 6 months I've been in ADs in 7 countries and all I saw in SS was 1 Black Deepsea (which I already have - rats!). Some TT and PM as well, but 1 SS. Rubbish.

Just stepped in to a AD and inquired if they had an Explorer II? They stated they had net seen one in a year and that Basel 2020 will tell. They said there are two trains of thought either it will be discontinued because it doesn’t sell as well as the GMT, or that it will be reduced in size with a new movement.
