Exp II on leather band - your thought...
I finally had the courage to change the band myself. I used the Bergeon 1.00 mm screw driver to loose the pins. With a little patience I actually was able to switch the band in 3 min. I taped the lugs with electrical tape which provided the protection from me of making any scratches. The leather band is ordinary Hersch Traveler. The black leather makes the steel bezel stand out more and gives the watch a completely different look. It also makes the watch even lighter than it was. I can barely feel the watch that is on my wrist. Does somebody know either the DJ leather band or the Daytona leather band can fit the lugs of Exp II?

I like that! Very sharp. I have an Expy II white face and have three leather bands to go with it - one's black and red, one's black and one's tan. They all give the watch a distinct look and in my case, allowed them to fit my skinny wrists without having to remove a permanent link.

It looks great. I like how the dial and band complement each other.
Good choice

Sorry, the strap just does not look right to me on the EXP II. This is how mine looks and I really like this timeless look. Cheers! Bill P.

I think it looks good on the black EXP II, but I think it would not come off on the white version.

YES!!!! I love straps on the Explorer line. Carbon goes good with the explorer I, but leather is perfect for the Explorer II.

It's funny, when I saw the title of the post, I thought I'd like the look but I'm a little lookwarm to it. I like the oyster bracelet better. I do like the way the black strap brings out the numbering on the bezel though. It's always nice to be able to switch things up. I have my omega SMP on a black rubber strap now.

The black leather band looks really good on the black face Explorer II, and I agree with everyone else, SS band on the white face Explorer II

I don't think the leather band is better looking than the original bracelet. It does give the watch a different look, and not a bad one, either. It is nice to have options. Plus, it is so easy to switch them back and forth.

I always like the Exp I. It has many good characters - simplicity, elegance and sportiness - all in one. Wish someday I will be able to get one. I already have a pair of carbon straps waiting for it.

Thanks for all responses. I personally like the look very much. I wonder if any of the Rolex leather bands which have a metal end link can fit into EXP II.

Any 20mm Leather strap will fit.. Look into the Hirsch Leonardo series which has a curved end that fits up against the case.... It looks sharp...

Thanks for your info, Larry. How about the leather bands on the DJ models? Will they fit?

Okay, guys. Most of you will HATE this look. But I'm female and figured I could get away with it. (That said, a few of the gals here don't like it, either!)
