Storing your Rolex

Hi,

I have recently purchased a safe and installed it in my attic. As I only wear my watch on the weekends, I think it’s best to store it in the safe during the week.

I have a new build property so it’s quite well insulated, but do you foresee any issues with temperature affecting the watch in any way? The watch is currently in its original box but I could purchase something better if required?

Thanks

Rob

Nice watch!

I use a WatchBox.

Your Rolex will be fine. You can store them anywhere and they will outlast you.

Well, I store my watches in a safe at home, each in a pair of socks, retired and clean, hehe
Never even had a thought about the temperature and humidity. These are built like tanks so I’m sure they will survive in my safe

Sounds like a ball ache to be honest. Why don’t you wear in the week? What do you do for work?

Your watch really doesn't know what the temperature is.

After my house was burglarized, I put my jewellery and watches in the safe at the bank.

So far I have only recovered the Omega Speedmaster and I was lucky to been wearing my Rolex on the day.

Nice watch!

The point is, you won’t be storing it for extended periods of time in an environment that is submerged in water.

New build quality is bad, but not that bad.

Your watch will be fine.

article about safety deposit boxes has steered me away from doing that.

Your safe is in your attic? As in unfinished attic with no lights besides that creeping in from under the eaves? If that’s the case you will have a hell of a time in the summer.

Real nice! I have the same one except my only has cutouts for 12 watches. Figured it would take me too long to fill it up.
