doubts with president bracelet 18038

A friend has this 18038 of 1979 that belonged to his father, the clock is no doubt authentic quexes, but my question is whether the president bracelet is authentic, what do you think?

I do not find engraved anywhere in the serial number of the bracelet, behind the closure I think there is only one number engraved and I think that under the head of the lady I would have to have a “G” engraved but it is not

I don’t recall mine having any more than what’s on that one. I need to try and find some old pics or ask my buddy I sold it to to come by for a better recount

A solid gold DD should weigh in more than that?! AFAIK a modern SS Sub is in the 150-160 gram range weight wise.

Your bracelet to my eyes is Rolex factory bracelet.
I own one (was 2) white gold 1803 that similar to yours (or same except the gold color).
You can open the end links and check for the number stamped there.
For 18038 the number should be 55 and for mine 1803 should be 53.
The difference is 18038 lug is thicker than 1803.

Possibilities about the bracelet:
If end links 53, than it is a 1803 bracelet fitted to 18038. Still ok because it will sit lower on the lugs.
If end links 55, then it is authentic bracelet 18038 but maybe use an old clasp from 1803 (which is not uncommon).
From the serial number it looks your watch is from 1979 which is close to my WG 1803 from 1976.

Anyway yours still looks good 100% and dont worry much

my opinion is that this 18038 being the first to leave, wearing the bracelet of 1803, since the links are number 53. and all the stamps seem to be arranged like the bracelets of 1803

The reference number of the model is not on the band. The weight is correct for that reference.
