There’s a sticky on top of the Forum Topics which you can check out. It pretty much covers all the bases when it comes to what to look out for when buying pre-owned and should be applicable for any AP model imo.
Helped me a lot when I was researching on my first AP. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My only advice is to entertain the 44. They both wear large its not much of a leap in terms of fit and its such a good watch.

Once you buy one, it can be a very slippery slope...
Beware that you may wake up one day and find your whole watch box full of octagonal bezels! |

The 42 is well faked, make sure you know exactly where the date window should be positioned as that is a tell. Then there are frankens that have real dials so be very sure of your seller and that you can get recourse from them should they sell you a franken even if inadvertantly, make sure they have more to lose than you, ie a good internet reputation, so use a trusted seller here.

Beside reading the sticker above yall additional inputs are appreciated. I have a 2.2 inches wrist across and 7 inches in circumference! I am aware of the financial commitment and i believe that wont’t me an issue for me with one AP watch. I live in DC so will be looking for grey close by to try them on otherwise will have to drive to NYC! Any suggestion would be awesome! Thanks.

With your 7” wrist I would suggest the 44mm for a variety of reasons. As others have said, trust in the buyer is everything. Buy the seller, not the watch. And it indeed is a very slippery slope. But welcome to the club in advance.

I truly love my RB ROO. It gets more wrist time than any other in my herd. I have 6 3/4” wrists and think the 42mm is the perfect size. I’ve tried on the 44 and it just felt too big.
As others have said, after you own one, it’s hard not to own more than one. If it’s in budget, consider adding a leather strap to go dressier or a bracelet to change things up. Good luck.

If you are sensitive to resale, the classic RO’s on bracelet tend to hold value, especially the simple model with no chrono/dual time complication. The offshore models generally tend to take a big hit.
