V-Series SD

Hey all,

Been lurking for awhile, but wanted to ask if anyone has seen a v-series SD (not DSSD) at their AD. Ideally in the NYC/NJ or San Francisco bay area - a reply or pm would be much appreciated.

cheers

Last time I was at my AD in Jersey, Sam Yampell Jewelers, they had an SD. Not sure of the serial number tho. Good luck!

Dont know why its got to be a V because Since E case stamp letter in 1989 the only difference in any SD is now non lug hole case and a few very minor cosmetic details. So from the late Y case stamp letter there is no difference in any SD whether it be Y,F,D,Z.M,or V case stamp letter, there must be thousands of them around.

A V serial won't be worth more than a D serial 30 years down the road so if you want one, grab one while they are still in almost every AD out there.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get it for? And from what AD in Vancouver?

$6,480.00 cdn which was full retail but no GST, no PST from Palladio. Came out to $5,145.00 USD total.

Two "M" series in stock here. No difference between M and V other than case stamp. In fact, many were stamped IN THE SAME YEAR. I called our rep about a V series just becasue I have had a few clients ask about them and he said he might be able to ship me one for stock.

thanks all for the replies.

There is some novelty factor to having the last series, though I don't expect it to be worth any more down the line. mostly interested because V is one of my initials, M is not (small detail I know, but might influence me to buy vs. wait). daytonaboy would you be able/interested in shipping to U.S.?

Watchtastic do you know if they were both v series?

I just called them and they are both Deep Sea's. They have not seen a new Sea Dweller in a long time. Hope this helps!

I've heard that in one of the V serial SD's boxes, there is a special golden ticket. That ticket entitles the owner to have a personal guided tour of the Rolex factory & try on all the watches. Then, if the guide likes you, he'll let you own the factory.

The person that finds a silver ticket get's a Rado!
