best place to look for vintage
Does any one recommend a good dealer that sells vintage? I am in the market for a 1675 GMT. I just do not know where is the best place to shop for one. I see them online but I guess I can never figure out what is a good buy. My knowledge isn't the best when it comes to vintage......I am trying to figure out why one is one price and another could be $5K more when they look very similar in condition to me.....

How vintage (old) are you looking for and what is it about vintage that you find attractive?

I would go with the trusted sellers, Scott @ HQ Milton, Jessy W, Lunar Oyster, Curtis (Grey Patina. There are more, but these are the ones that I've worked with. Ask them what the differences are. I'll say that some of these guys are very helpful.
Just remember that they are in the business of selling watches. Their watches. So take everything with a grain of salt. |

1675s were made for a long time with many variants. If you have a budget, let us know and we can guide you towards a certain MK. I will say for a correct/collectible piece you're going to spend >$14k From there its imperative that you get good photos of candidates and post them here for us to weigh in on.
In the meantime, study a great dial summary page to get your education started https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=316726 |
