Frustrating time synchronizing ROC
I have 26331OR and it is beautiful and special, but i am not able to synchronize the seconds because i can’t get the seconds to ever stop even when crown is pulled out. I guess this means it is non hacking seconds? What technique do you know to set non hacking seconds watch like 26331 ROC? I end up using Chrono seconds hand to keep accurate synchronized seconds hand and sub seconds dial is never synchronized and useless. How do I synchronized the subsecond dial?

I don't think you can and it used to bother me a little but no more. Just set it to your phone or atomic clock and enjoy it. My 25960 keeps decent, but not perfect time. And if you could hack the watch, you'd find that you have to adjust it every few days anyway.

Thank you sir for the reply. When you talk of setting it to phone or atomic clock do you mean the subseconds?

No I really just mean minutes. Because if you put it on a timegrapher, you will see that no matter what, it will gain or lose maybe a minute or two every 5-7 days. So when I take it off of my winder, I look at my atomic clock and set it (if needed) and then just go. For most of us, close (in terms of time) is good enough.

Kinda bothered me at first too but I got over it. what bothers me is the minute hand is really loose and when I push the crown back in it jumps to somewhere different than where I had it. That’s really annoying for a 24k watch.

I think this happens because when you push the crown in you're slightly turning it therefore moving the minutes hand. I noticed this happening with mine as well, but if I carefully pushed the crown in with a tight grip before I start screwing the crown in I could keep the minute hand exactly where I want it.

This happens to mine too and it is $55k watch in full gold. I have come to not expect timekeeping excellence from AP. Our watches are beautiful but terribly inaccurate with little issues like this. |

I had the same issue and I found it helped if I went slightly past then backed it up to get where I wanted to be before pushing in the crown

Anybody else find that when they reset the chronograph and don’t give the reset pusher a firm push, the Chrono hands don’t go all the way to the start position?

i do have that issue sometimes, its slightly off center, around 1-2 seconds off. but all is good if you start and stop the chrono again.

I find if you push the reset button more firmly it goes back too.
