Trade DSSD-JC for AP Diver 15710ST
Ok, so I saw the tread that asked about trading a Ceramic Daytona for a Diver ce, so thought I would ask since I'm toying with this Idea. Would you trade a DSSD-JC 116660 and some cash for the 15710ST Diver?

Depends on what other pieces you have. If it’s your one and only, I’d say think carefully; the DSSD is a tad bit more versatile than the AP Diver IMO. I own an AP diver, love it, but I can’t wear it all the time especially on dressier occasions (specially if you intend on keeping it on the rubber strap). However, If you got another watch to cover those occasions in your collection, then I’d do that trade in a heartbeat.

I had that similar concern. I just don’t need two divers. It is a tough decision as the dial on the DSSD is incredible, but that ROO Diver is very unique. I was also thinking of keeping it and going with a Chrono. Best of both worlds.

The DSSD JC is one of the most unique steel Rolex watches available...in a lineup cluttered by same same black dial dive watches it stands out. If you were to own just 1 Rolex, this should be it IMO.
I would keep the JC over the AP Diver.... And this is coming from a diehard AP fanboy.

This is exactly why I wanted to post the question here in this forum. This is where I knew I would get an honest answer from the die hards. I know there will be more, but Thank You for your responses. Gonna keep my DSSD-JC and start deciding on a chrono to add.

I did that trade a few years ago. Was happy but the diver is gone now as well.

No way. I had the diver for a few months and got rid of it.

I have both (126660) and they’re super different. My D-Blue is newer so I’m wearing it more but it would be hard to pick.

There may be soon a day where the James Cameron is discontinued. If that occurs, the value of the deep seas will go,through the roof. I’d keep, the deep blue for this reason. I own an offshore and James Cameron. The offshore is far more wearable for me but I wear the deep blue more often because it’s a tank in terms of scratch resistance.

I can’t thank all of you for the input. I agree with many of you in regards to durability of the DSSD is insurmountable. They are meant to be tool watches. Gonna keep it and go with an AP chrono. Now which one will be the next thread. Haha.
