Have seen it in the metal .On the wrist of a manager at an AD.Handled it a bit, had it on my wrist ...
I will pick it over the black tt sub,but not the blue tt sub. I would pick the TT SD above the TT CHNR I would also pick it over the TT Daytonas . Another AD also said he has much higher demand for the tt subs over the TT SD. All the boo hoo about the TT SD is absolute nonsense .It is a beautiful reference if you have larger wrists. . |

I haven’t seen one or tried one on. But I am interested to hear what others have to say about it.

Tried one on, but I preferred my basic steel SD43. But then in fairness, I’m not so fond of two tone in general.
The SD43 always seems the nearest thing Rolex still have to a ‘tool’ watch. |

It wears better for me than the SS SD43. I think its because of the extra weight of the gold making it a more balanced watch. I find the SS SD43, keeps rotating around my wrist when I am wearing it due to the heavy case (same with my SS-SkyD). Yet I have no problem with this on my others (SS Daytona, SUBs,GMTs)
For most, they wont be able to distinguish it from a TT Sub but if you want a bigger watch than a sub, then the SD43 is the only option from Rolex. If you have a 7.5" and above wrist, then the SD43 will be a good choice.

I saw the TT the day I picked my Stral SD43, stunning in the metal. Choosing one over the other is a matter of taste. What I liked more about the SS is the red lettering, this anniversary version is all about that red line, the TT lost it to a golden one.

The basic steel is my preferred choice, I am not a big fan of the two tone.

Not a fan of two tone. Some two tones are nice such as CHNR . Good luck!

There are a few of them on this board. Beautiful watch but I would never choose it over my ss SD43.

Big fan of this watch. For me it will soon come down to SD43 TT, CHNR TT, or bluesy.

I have owned several TT Rolex models. Still have a Bluesy TT Sub and just purchased a TT SD. Even though I don’t have big wrists (6 3/4), a SD43 fits very nicely.
The naysayers quip an SD shouldn’t have PM because it’s a “tool watch”. Whatever. 99.9% of any SD buyer will never use it as such anyway. I previously had a TT pre ceramic Sub with a black dial as a daily wearer for 18 years. Already having a Bluesy, I wanted something a little different and when I saw Rolex came out with a 43mm case and in TT, done deal! Personally, I love it!

Tried one on at the AD a few weeks ago not expecting to like it. I was wrong. Loved it. My wrist is exactly 7.5” and it felt and wore great. I would not hesitate getting one.

Had a SS SD43 that I ended up parting with as I didn't like the weight after a while. The watch itself and the proportions are very nice (I have 7.5 wrist), but I ended up preferring my sub.
Passed on the TT SD43 from my AD just recently. Being PM it's a little heavier than the SS version, which I already didn't like so I was pretty sure I wouldn't like it. The TT version is really nice, but in person and on my wrist it just didn't do it for me. I keep wanting to like TT gold, but every time I try one on I hate how it looks on me. But if you like other TT gold models you'll likely really like how this one wears. |

I got my SD43 TT on 8/19 and absolutely love it! If u got a 7-inch or more wrist circumference, it will sit well. This piece has pops!

I was just putting it on at a grey dealer in tokyo, but it was absolutely not on my radar. Just was curious. In the second I had it on, i was overwhelmed by it, much better than the regular SD43. I am now thinking about adding one to my 116660 Deepsea.

If you like the look/color, I think the TT Sub in black/YG gets you to the same place in a smaller and easier to wear package, and for less money.
I considered it and opted for the TT GTM CHNR instead of my taste/skin tone. |

I haven't seen it yet but love it. If I didn't have a TT Black Sub, I'd be all over it. I can't flip the sub either because we have a lot of history together.

Own both the SS and Two tone. Love them both. Stainless is my everyday watch. Use the two tone on the weekends.

The SD has not really been on my radar, but it is an amazing watch to see being worn. Last weekend I saw a TT SD while wife and I were at the club bar before dinner. Struck up a converstion with the couple seated next to us - noticed his TT rolex watch immediately, but wasn;t sure if it was a sub41 (looked bigger and thicker - bar wasn't well lit). Then dawned on me it was a TT SD. He wasn;t a big guy, but wore it well and it stood out a bit (being TT and on the larger side), and his wife had a YG DJ with diamond markers (they own their own business). My wife had her ladies DJ on, and I had the 124060 on. with my 6.75 in wrists, the sub41 is about as big as I can wear (comfort-wise and looks/fit-wise).

I own the SS SD43 and tried the TT on. I like it but not enough to buy it. I would have been tempted by a TT SD43 in a different colour scheme, like a deep navy blue for example, to differentiate it from the TT royal blue Sub.

I bought it because I love tough diving watches and I also like gold, but didn't feel comfortable at the time pulling the trigger on an 18k Sub. It has the highest depth rating of any Rolex that contains gold., and it's also probably the heaviest TT model Rolex makes (the only other contender would be the TT YMII, I'd be curious in a head-to-head weight off who would be heavier). Also, it's not insanely popular so my AD was able to get me one in just 30 days at the height of the mania. |

I think it's a stunner. The YG/black palette works very well on a watch of this size. It's too big for me.

Fantastic reference. I prefer owning it over the black two tone submariner. It is crisp!
