At what point will you reset your watch?

Let’s say your time piece is running at +1s/day. At what point of being offset do you decide to reset it? I think around 15 seconds is my max.

I have to reset very 2 or three days as I rotate between a few

To answer your question though, when I have worn a watch for travel and the same one has been on my wrist for a couple of weeks, I have never felt compelled to reset the time as it is usually within a minute or two of correct time.

Since I'm generally 15 minutes early for everything (blame my mother for this), I have never had anxiety over a few seconds lost or gained on the watch I'm wearing.

I rotate often, so the time never gets too off of actual. Wear for a couple days, rotate... By the time I get back to wearing a watch, the mainspring has been flat for several days - weeks so I always have wind and set the time (and date if the watch has it)

I really only reset mine when I have to set it from it sitting idly in the box. If I am wearing a piece for awhile (vacation, honeymoon, obsession) I will tend to reset at about a 15 second deviation. That comes from my military flight background where everything had to be synchronized. And maybe couple that with some OCD.

I prefer my watches to be more exact. So I target once a week.

Same here. My Yachtmaster loses less than a second daily.

I don't reset that often, but I don't want to be too far off either. I suggest keeping an eye on it because these watches can be a little off from time to time. If you need to start a presentation, you think your employee is late, but your watch is fast, or meet someone at an exact time and the watch you are wearing is either too fast or too slow it could make you look foolish. I always double check with my cell phone when it's important I be accurate. Otherwise I reset when I notice it or at date change time. It is a good point to know how your watch is running either fast or slow.

When it stops. I rotate quite a bit and have never been a fan of winders.

After a few minutes off about once a month, always leave early to arrive on time

With hacking watches I quite like them to be within 15 seconds - and I realise that this is probably ridiculous. Nobody really needs such accuracy, but .... :)

I have posted a few times that my Sky Dweller loses a couple of seconds in around 12 hours - however it is particularly susceptible to being self regulated. I leave it overnight, dial up, and it catches up - in fact it's now the most accurate watch I own due to this. I haven't touched it in weeks and it's absolutely spot on.

No routine. I usually reset it when I notice that it's off from most of the other references that I see all the time.

My ceramic sub date gains around 1.5 seconds per day, so I hack it at the end of the month and check the accuracy against our radio controlled alarm clock.

Only when it´s nearly a minute or so fast, according to the radio clock on my kitchen table. I'm not really concerned with accuracy to the second!

I reset periodically. Maybe twice a month.
Two of my watches run fast so that isn't such an issue. I set those right a the UTC time on the cable box or an atomic clock.
I do have a third which is consistently -2 or so sec/day so I usually set this one, 1 minute fast and let it slow down over the course of a couple of weeks.

Probably about once a month, used to be a little OCD about it. Now if it runs fast I don’t worry about it.

When I notice it’s getting to around 5 min or so off, but honestly there is no routine.

A minute or two slow, and up to 5 minutes if fast.
My personal bias is for a watch to be a bit ahead of time anyway, but I don't worry unless i'm starting to run habitually late for public transport.

I only have one Rolex now and I wear it all the time so when it's a minute or more off, I reset.

Buy an oysterquartz and you'll (almost) never have to reset it. Mine keeps time accurately to a couple seconds a month :-)

I reset my time hack almost every day unless the watch I am wearing is +/- 1 sec. Could save myself a minute of effort every day by wearing a GPS watch, but I prefer Rolex.
