Strap suggestion for Journe Chronometre Souverain

Hi all

I am about to collect a Journe Chronometre Souverain in platinum with the original guilloche dial. It has a navy croc strap on it and I’d like to get another to change it up a bit. I was thinking maybe a khaki colour as the honey colour which looks stunning on the blue dial watch might look a bit washed out on the silver dial? Does anyone have any thoughts? I’m open to pretty much anything!

Assuming your location is correct, then why not take it along to the Jean Rousseau boutique, and they’ll be able to show you an array of leathers and colours which you think work best with the dial/case.
In my opinion, Pt being what it is, doesn’t lend itself to light or beigeish colours, unless the dial is of a similar tonal hue – such as the Havana version, but even then you’ll still want to stay on the brown side rather than straying into the yellower end of khaki hues.

The navy strap on it currently will be a tie-in with the blued hands, so even black or dark grey may not look quite right, but a bluey-grey could work quite nicely.
Like I said, give JR a visit, which should make it easier than trying to convey colours/hues via this medium.

It may also be worth having a chat with John at Dangerous9Straps, as he has access to some of the finest leather that the Swiss maisons use.

+1 on taking a visit to Jean Rousseau.

If not, I quite like this look (strap from acollectedman)

Thanks both. Will take it along to JR. that brown strap does look great although mine is the blue hand version.

I have the Havana dial in rose. One of my favorites is the burgundy with that dial. I also looked at the platinum versions when I was at the boutique and liked the blue handed one with the navy, burgundy, black, and gray straps.
Be careful with non-Journe spring bars. They need the correct curve to fit right. I was able to get a set from the boutique and just use those when I switch to custom straps.

Does the strap support the quick change too?
