Icon8 Alert Please Read

It came to my attention that somebody is using a very similar domain name to my site that is mirroring my site, until I address that issue legally and with the right agencies please be advised and make sure you are dealing with the correct site

my website is www.sdwatches.com with a letter S at the end

The fake site that looks pretty much the same is www.sdwatche.com without the S letter

You can always call me or text me at 619-339-5645

Alert Please Read

Thanks for the heads up Tony, hope you’re able to get it sorted out quickly.

Might I suggest posting a banner or announcement to the front page with the ALERT. If he’s mirroring your page then the folks going to the fake site will get the update.

Scary stuff. Sorry this happened to you, and good luck.

At first I thought it was just someone using a similar URL, but no- this is designed to be fraudulent.

Sorry you’re having to go through that Tony.

He truncates you real phone number because he doesn’t want you to get the call. Displays only 9 digits. He is using a Tawk.to chat to snare unwary onlookers.

But he failed to crack your Instagram feed and isn’t running any social
Media plug-ins like your real site does.

If you haven’t done it yet, maybe bolster your IG and any other social site with warnings as well.

I second that. Though a lawyer could provide more info on risks, you wouldn't want the headache of someone connecting the fake store page with your IG page and then believing the two are affiliated.

They also took one digit out of your phone number on the scam site.

This sucks Tony. I hope you are able to have it taken down soon.

When you click on browse on the fake site the layout is different too.

Wouldn't make a difference, but at least he/she knows that people are already onto them.

FWIW, something I noticed is that if you check the page source on Tony's website, a lot of the source code is sorta just... there, and for the taking. It wouldn't take a malicious hacker much time to just "fill in the blanks" with regards to scripts, pictures, etc. and rebuild the entire webpage.
