England: Your National Treasure?

Mr. Duncan? He makes me want to apply for dual citizenship.

The English consider David Beckham, their national treasure.

During the Olympic closing ceremony, they had a ceremony in regards to London getting the next Olympics, they paraded with english culture and David Beckham was part of it.

With due respect I would rather be associated with David Attenborough, Michael Palin, Helen Mirren or Judy Dench

After hubby of course, my heart still belongs to Colin Firth - and Peter Gabriel. In no particular order.

I have no idea who this geezer is. If I see him down the Dog & Duck I will challenge him to a pork scratching eating competition to see how tough he really is.

If you want to see British social commentary on Youtube, look up Pat Condell.

As for national treasure, David Attenborough is head & shoulders above anyone. You should try & find his clip on when he had a gang of cannibals charging at him & his film crew. His response is the most British ever.

I can't stand John Cleese or any of the Python shows. They stole all their material from Spike Milligan (they used to watch him record his shows at the BBC & regurgitate his material) and Fawlty Towers is all about someone struggling to cope with life & possibly on the verge of a nervous breakdown. How is that funny?

But Melanie Chisholm (sporty)... yuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm...............

Have I just hijacked this thread...?

Sporty Spice...not the best looker or singer granted but probably the only Spice Girl who'd let you do to her what you really, really would like to do...therefore she is my top Spice Girl!!!!!!!!!!!

Ashley, when you say the Spice Girls, you are introducing yet another Beckham into the equation.

I will be catching a 7 p.m. British Airways flight this evening to London. Sure, make fun of Mr. Duncan but I find him irresistible. I will find this delightful troll, even if it takes me to the four corners of this earth! He must be mine. Is anyone willing to help me in my search for Mr. Duncan? (Has it occurred to anyone that his presence was classified, and known only to Scotland Yard?)

I have adored John Cleese since the first time that I saw Fievel Goes West. And Fawlty Towers is my favourite tv series, I think he is absolutely hilarious (and so skinny and tall!)
As for anything Python, I was never a fan
And Victoria Beckham and Ginger Spice were always my favourites!

I do love a hob nob. Chocolate Hob Nob moreso...who is the genius who introduced the hob nobby goodness of a hob nob to the chocolately wonderment of chocolate?

It's like an 18 year old girl's bikini slumberparty in my mouth!

Woohoo.

Although I do miss Abbey Crunch.

I think post Spice girls with short hair & a short tartan skirt and a tan and jumping up and down like in the video and calling my name and offering me a share in her millions and letting me see all her tattoo's and flying me off to scouseland for a dirty weekend and saying how she wants me to make mad passionate love to her and buying me a cornetto afterwards and saying she'll buy me a Yacht-Master and I can scratch the bezel as often as I like and giving me a head massage and taking me to Bryan Adams pub in Chelsea for a few beers and then taking me to see Ken Stott in his play & me impressing her by introducing them and her thanking me by flying me to County Cork to do some horse riding on the beach..

Oh wait. Have I written too much...?
