choosing your attire

Choosing what to wear can be so taxing when you work from home...hoodie, sweats, Rolex. Toughest part of my day.

Anyone else dressing for success (from home or otherwise)?

I get to do the hoodie thing two days of the work week for telework so I get to choose between my sports watches.

The other three at the office usually go to my default dress watch Datejust II. Lately however this watch has gotten nearly 100% of my wrist time. Just can't bare to take if off since I picked it up at the beginning of the month. I guess I'm "starstruck" LOL

Beautiful watch

Not generally an Omega fan (branding, marketing, etc.), but they definitely put out a good product and you have a nice one there!

When you enjoy your watch alone at home you know you're a purist with love to watchmaking and not a guy who buy them to show off. Kudos and

i basically have three modes, and i can and do wear any watch with whatever mode i choose.

mode 1) sweats, hoodie, comfy sneakers, beanie hat.
mode 2) nice jeans, fitted tee, casual jacket depending on weather.
mode 3) tailored suit, beautiful shoes, sunglasses.

I've been self employed and worked from home(s) for 40 years.

I NEVER dress up and wear either shorts or for 3 months a year, jeans.

I wear whatever watches I feel like wearing that day. As has been said in another thread, just because you wear shorts or jeans doesn't mean you are a bum.

You can wear nice shirts and shorts as casual attire. I'm guessing people that live a more "formal" buttoned down life would disagree but that's ok.

It's funny, even while I work in sweats at home, I'll sometimes throw the Reverso or GS on because...they're just beautiful.

Enjoying the watches is what it's all about!

When I get sick of client calls and meetings at home, I bust out the collection and play with them all. It can be tough sometimes to get brought back to reality!

I wasn't either until I started hanging out over on the TRF Omega forum. They put out amazing stuff and you can grab it secondhand at a nice discount. This watch, and all of their coaxial Speedies, are super premium watches that can be had at a nice price.

This one has sapphire crystal front and back, co-axial escapement, COSC and METAS certified, column wheel chronograph with vertical clutch, ceramic bezel with liquid metal insert, 15,000 gauss anti-magnetic, 60 hour power reserve, applied indicies, sunburst dial and on and on. I love Rolex and this is a Rolex board but Omega is putting out some really nice products these days

Weekdays it’s scrubs every day. Hospital and office.

At home it’s sweats and a shirt.

For leisure it’s a sport jacket or full on suit.

Whatever watch is on rotation for the week.

Hey, playing with our watches IS reality.

It's all the other stuff that's an interloper.

Except kids of course. And the wife.

Well sometimes the wife is an interloper too, when she doesn't let you buy more watches.

Everybody should have one or two Omegas.

Especially now that Rolex is having "issues" and are overpriced or hard to find.

Self-employed here as well. I rarely dress up unless going on-site to a client's location. That usually gets me into the more exclusive end of my collection with a G-Shock or no watch at all. Good times.

While this is actually true, I still think majority of us wear our watches for show off also..maybe not deliberately but it happens

That's what the fish tank is for! Just watch them go round and round, while you listen to them go round and round . . . .

haha, that made me chuckle as I thought about the calls I've been on this morning. wouldn't be a hard sell to the wife, as I'm sure our 2 boys would love some fish.
