Looks really good! It's probably softer too? For some reason the grey straps are always the softest and most comfortable.

Looks good in the wrist pic (love how you always match the sweater !!)
What do you think of it ?? Just got courier notification that the yellow should show up next week for me (along with blue camo). |

Looks nice, a darkish grey, think I'll ask to see one for my RG it might match like a Lebron, think the brown one is too similar to my camo.

Hey Ash, sorry for the late reply, very nice indeed. Next time I see you make sure you bring it with you so that I can hold it up to mine. It even looks like it had a tiny hint of blue. It looks great on the PT.
Enjoy. |

Ash I think it looks great, but that comes as no surprise. Every time you post up a picture of the PT with different straps they all look great. It’s such a versatile watch.

I think that looks very nice indeed, Ash, personally I prefer it to the coloured straps, as I think that mid grey works very well with your watch.
Inspired by Ash I thought I'd try colourising my RG44 by putting on the organge strap I bought 18 months or so ago for my Summer Edition. However, for some reason it doesn't fit well, with an unsightly gap, I don't know why. Anybody else found this? I'm thinking of getting a brown strap for the RG44 but will need to ensure it doesn't have the same issue, as I can't wear a watch like that. The strap came from AP so is definitely 'gen', and from what I recall it fit the SE ok, although I didn't keep it on the watch. |

Looks like the strap the digitally rendered on the 26405cg before it went missing on the release. Looks nice on your pt.

Many thanks indeed Gary, you may well be right, as far as I can see there's no 'tube' in the strap. I will give it a go later!
In the meatime I thought I'd polish the centre 'block' of the buckle, so the outer sections are brushed but inner bright, to play off the watch case. I've not done a good job, as really I needed to use very fine wet & dry paper to rub off the brushing and then polish, but I think it looks good. I will do the job properly in due course and then perhaps do the same to the SE! |

^^^ you are a brave man. Looks good tho. Maybe finish with cape cod as it is not so aggressive?
The platinum on grey rubber looks fantastic.

Yes, absolutely. First wet and dry to remove the very shallow 'troughs' from the brushing, then a small polishing wheel on the dremel, then finally cape cod, which is billiant (literally) for the final finish.

First impressions of what I've done so far is that it's a significant improvement over having the buckle all brushed. However, If I did decide against it I can easily just rebrush it again using a scotchbrite pad. I will keep the 'tang' brushed. |
