Female friendly Rolex with an option for rubber strap
First post, lurking for a while. Briefly, have a few (4) watches myself at this point, all Omegas (planet ocean x 2, speedmaster, aqua terra) and my wife has a Tudor Glamour date 34mm. I've said the next watch I buy will be a Rolex, although, to be honest, when I said that I really meant for ME, not her... but she's been asking for a second watch.
She wants one that could be put on a rubber strap, both my POs are on rubber and she likes the look. I've been looking at some of the better aftermarket strap options (everest, rubberb, etc) which she'd be happy with but they don't seem to be available for every model/size and its mostly the larger watches. So my criteria, casual/sporty but female style/size friendly (is 40mm too much here?), has an aftermarket high quality rubber option. Budget approx 10k or less. It has been a little tough to make sense of what straps fit what watches, but these are the choices I came up with DJ 36mm YM 35 or 40mm (but I don't think the current 37 works with them, obviously there is the oysterflex but 20k too much to spend on this) OP 34, 36 or 39mm (the 39 rhodium is particularly nice with the little pop of color but maybe too big?) Was leaning towards the YM 35 (168622), quick look around shows they are available in good condition for $6k and RubberB seems to have a strap that fits it. Open to non rolex options too if anyone has one to offer. Thanks for the input! |
