International Travel with Sub
Need some advice from those of you who live or have traveled to Spain/Ibiza/Mallorca. I will be going sailing around the Baeleric Islands for 2 weeks, going island hopping and then seeing Mardrid for a day or two before flying back home. Anyone know if it is safe to travel with the SS Sub in this part of the world? Should I throw it on a NATO to make it less noticeable or just leave it at home completely? Appreciate any help. Thanks guys

I'm sure it's safe.
But if you're not sure, you can send it to many people on the forum who would be willing to babysit it for you. |

Spain/Ibiza/Mallorca - sounds dangerous to me mate.
I'm going out to dinner tonight in Reynella. Now THAT'S pushing my luck. Send me a pix - I want to see how big you are.

I'm 27, athletic, 6'2" 200, and I study jujitsu. : ) None of which, of course, matters vs. knives, guns, or more than one rolex-hungry thieves.

I live in Spain on the Costa Blanca and have never had a problem.
It's no different than anywhere else, if you're out alone at 4am as drunk as a skunk, on your own, you will probably meet trouble regardless of what's on your wrist. If you are sensible and aware of your immediate environment you should have nothing to worry about - most people don't even notice my sub or if they do, assume it's a fake - they are readily available here in Spain. |

You'll be safer with a GMT. Can't tell a 2nd time zone with the Sub.

Nowhere is completely safe, but so long as you have the watch insured why worry? Wear it and enjoy your holiday.

When I travel I wear a SS watch. GMT, SMP or my new Sea-Dweller.

Since I bought my SD last year it's been to Chicago, New York, Paris, Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo, Allicante (Spain...sp?), London, Washington DC, and Tampa Florida without a problem.
Enjoy wearing your watch in Europe and be sure to post photos!! |

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Its Europe ! Its safe ! lol I am flying to Mali in Africa on Sunday and will DEFINITELY be wearing my GMT II ! The safest place for your watch is on your wrist. And be sure 99.99999999999999999999% of people don't notice a Rolex unless its a TT or a YG model ! Enjoy your trip !
