National Geographic and Rolex
While reading a few of the pre-Basel predictions on the site it occurred to me that I'd not seen an advert for the Explorer II in National Geographic for a while. Checked back and no Exp II adds for over a year - so naturally I thought that an Exp II update might be on the cards.....
What's in the latest issue of National Geographic? Yep, a two-page Exp II advert! I think Rolex just like playing with us! |

I guess the ads are probably different in UK and US editions then. Only Rolex add this year, apart from the Exp II in April, has been a YM ad in the March edition.

I think you might be reading a little far into it to be honest.

Only meant it in a half serious way - but if the bods in charge of running Rolex ads do monitor fora like this then you can half imagine them having a laugh with when certain ads run...

There's been Rolex ads in nearly every months issue of Geographical magazine. But, then again, Rolex are corporate benefactros of the Royal Geographical Society
