Thinking of buying a new Tag - suggestions
I'm thinking of getting this tag watch. Reasonable priced. What do you guys think?

I have the standard red-dialed Formula 1 and it makes a great substitute when my Rolex is getting wrist time. The weight and feeling of the watch is pretty good, and it will definitely take a beating. If you get it for the right price, it's a good watch, IMO.

I'm getting it for $529. Is that decent. Its down from like 1100 or something. Or should I opt for a seiko instead. They run even cheaper on sale.

Seiko's are good as well. I tend to prefer Tag as my backup watch for the price though. They tend to be a bit more avant-garde compared to the other brands. For 529, that's a pretty good deal. Is that with all appropriate boxes/paperwork? Even on discount sites that watch is still above the 800 mark.

It seems reasonable enough. Here is Amazon seller's store online: http://www.jomashop.com/tag-watch-he...1a-ba0850.html
You may want to try to contact them directly and see if you can get even a better deal. |

At 529 the thing is practically half off msrp.
And good luck, if you can get it for less that would be one heck of a price for that watch. My F1 has been great and I like the weight of it, but that said, I still miss my Sub and can't wait for its return. |

I did walk into a store and checked out the model. Very very nice, however, I want to be smart about spending money, so I'm going to go with a Seiko for now.
However, I have no idea which Seiko to buy .... |

I'd personally go with the chrono. But ultimately you need to pick the one that you like best. I prefer a bracelet to a leather band.

Post pics when you get them. And enjoy. I just purchased a couple of Seikos myself and am waiting to receive them. Not having my Rolex has made me buy more watches. Ugh. I don't need more. I just want my Sub back.

I don't know how it feels to own a rolex yet, however, I do like buying watches. I'm really really holding myself back from buying the Tag I posted here ....

if you drop equal amounts of money, i think you'll come away with more watch if you buy a seiko. that being said, the tag f1 i have is a very well made watch, with an excellent movement and some added touches in the fit and finish department that a seiko just doesn't have.
