FS: BNIB Omega Alaska Project, Speedmaster Limited Edition Reduced
I am offering a BNIB Omega Alaska project, Speedmaster Limited to 1970 pieces worldwide, Ref. 311.32.42.30.04.001 ,complete with special edition box, papers, two extra straps (1 velcro and 1 metal bracelet), red-anodized aluminum outer case (which makes the watch 57mm)and individually numbered book.
The Case Back bears the following inscription "Limited Series, Alaska Project 50m/167ft , Flight Qualified by NASA for all Manned Space Missions. xxxx/1970 The "Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch - Alaska Project": In the early 1970's NASA was considering exploring the dark side of the moon. Omega created a team to develop an outer case for their Speedmaster watch to withstand the extreme temperatures of outer space. Omega named the project the "Alaska Project". NASA however declared the watch in its original design would suffice, thus the results remained a prototype. Omega has now released the watch in a limited edition. This is one of the more unique watches you will ever find and at a reasonable price. This is a real collector's/conversation piece. Priced to sell $4,995 + shipping. Payment by bank-to-bank wire transfer only. Please email for information. Plenty of worldwide references. |
