Do you swap the straps on your SS model?
If so, what’s the best combination watch/strap color you come up with and which straps do you prefer?
Here I put a Hulk and a Bluesy both on Horus Straps. The Hulk in my opinion is hard to match to a strap. Green strap and green dial are to much. However, the Bluesy looks pretty appropriate on the camo. I think the best combination I’ve had was a 116618 Gold Blue dial sub on and Everest two-piece strap that allowed for the gold clasp. I swap them all the time. I get bored and this is a great way to mix things up and feel like you got a new watch.

I recently picked up a RubberB for the BLRO in case I want to throw it on during the summer...the jubilee is impossible to beat from comfort and looks though. I’ve also tried Everest’s rubber strap but ended up returning it, if you have to go rubber I much prefer RubberB.

Last week I put my 16610 on an Everest strap with a 93150 deployant clasp I purchased separately. It lasted about 1 hour. I might try again.

I have dabbled with lots of straps over the years. I find the Sub less workable with them, but the DSSD and MG look good. I have the original DSSD so the rubber strap is wider than the oyster.
The MG looks good as there are the green and orange highlights to work with. |

Which tool do you recommend for swapping them over ?
I have a pelagos, BLNR, and explorer ... any photos of the Rolex listed would be appreciated. |

I’ll be the first to say the original Rolex bracelet is best!
However I do enjoy mixing it up a bit

Do it all the time. I just enjoy it and even try putting a glide lock subc bracelet on my 5 digit explorer II.

Some of them, yes, but mostly, I like the bracelets too much.
I wear my Tudor 79090 on leather 2-piece and nato straps of varying stripes, and I occasionally put my 16700 on a Bulang and Sons Diablo nato. My Tudor BB GMT, 79220n, and SD 16600 have been worn on metal, leather, Tudor fabric, and nylon. Usually back to the bracelet quickly tho. I have a triple 6 that lives on leather/nato/Everest rubber. My LVc has been on a green Everest, which is too much for a lot of people, but for me, it works. I like green a lot, no such thing as too much of it. But back to the bracelet it always goes. I’ve never taken my SD4K, SD43, Daytona, or Explorer off their respective bracelets tho. Really enjoy them on there. |

So I noticed many of you had the Everest lug system. I’ve used someone that makes the leather so that it fills the ‘gap’ and curves to meet the base of the watch. Recently I’ve been drawn to watches that have the ‘gap’ with a ‘straight’ strap between the lugs. Curious if the group has a strong opinion on this

I do, from time to time.
I know I'm gonna gate hate for the DJ41 on NATO. |

I think the Oyster bracelet is a work of art, I can’t bring myself to remove them. I tried my 14060 on a NATO for a few days back in 2013. I remember it clearly, it was horrible.

I think that DJ41 looks nice on the nato! Might not have been nuts about the idea had it been proposed in the abstract, but I think after seeing it, the smooth bezel with nato works. Maybe it’s just the complimentary colors on the nato I like, who knows. As long as it works for you, that’s all that matters. |

I pop my Sub on a matte alligator strap or plastic tropic style strap.
