Do you guys think this is a good deal? It has no box and papers but it is a verified dealer in Germany. I don't want to make an mistake buying my first ( expensive ) watch.

I don't know anything about the reference/ watch but make sure you trust the seller and also keep in mind that 36mm is really small. considered a women's watch by today's standards. do you have a super small wrist?

Welcome to the forum.

Great choice for a first AP. I have 6.5in wrist and I tried the 37mm and it was too small for my wrist. The 36mm will work if you have a very small wrist.

As some will say on this forum, always buy the seller. So recommend you research them and your options if you find issues with the watch or the transaction has problems.

Good luck hunting.

Hi Lex,

Regarding the size it’s all a matter of taste. If you are used to big watches >40 mm maybe you should try in on in the flesh.

I have a 18cm wrist and wear watches between 38 to 44mm.

The 36mm Royal Oaks wear more like a 39mm watch from other brands because of the case design.

Also white dial look optically bigger then darker ones.

Make sure the watch was service by AP or try to negotiate the price because an AP service can easily go around the 2000 euro.

Cheers

Alex

Also note these older 36mm RO are much thinner than the current 37mm 15450 so will wear smaller / feel more delicate. Believe it should be around 8mm thick vs 10mm or so for the 15450.

Size is a matter of taste though and the old owl day dates are awesome
