Rolex 100% not releasing 2020 models?
Not sure if this thread has been started or not but I am being told by several AD's that they have received letters from Rolex stating there will not be any new release this year.
Has anyone else received news like this or has any info on the subject. Apologies if this was discussed in another thread I missed. |

Discussed and confirmed that the release has been changed to a ‘future date’

Have you seen the letter? Your AD could have misinterpreted it. I don’t think Rolex has already committed to not releasing anything in 2020.

Postponed until further notice, could still happen this year. Say there's a vaccine this autumn.
Rolex are very much involved with charity. I wouldn't be surprised if they play an active role in helping research against this SOB virus. Hans Wilford would have wanted that, I'm sure. Another reason to support Rolex if they ever needed one. |

I have not seen it. Just a couple different dealers in different states made those comments to me so was wondering if anyone else heard the same .

The letter was open ended, so I hear. I imagine they could still release 2020 models a little later this year.

Since Rolex doesn't actually make "year" models, it stands to reason that they may hold back any new releases for another time.
They did this with the current Explorer II. It was ready for release, and even previewed, for 2010 Basel, but the new Ceramic Subs were getting all of the print, so it was quietly non-released, and came out the following year.
