Rolex batman 116710blnr dose the year matter?
Hi guy's,
I own a batman date 2013, it's rolex first bicolour ceramic, also first batman they introduced, I'm wondering in years to come will it matter wat year it is, as a vintage as the kermit is more expensive with the flat 4 which is 2003 or 2004 I belive they brought out, other kermit that are newer aren't worth as much, will this be the same for batman? Or the newer the watch the better? I know now newer year is more expensive over the warranty rolex offers. Regards Albert Last edited by Dorel92; 12 April 2020 at 12:53 AM.. Reason: Deleted picture |

What if the answer is no?
The Flat 4 LV sub is the 50th anniversary model, that’s why I don’t think it will happen for the 2013 BLNR. It’s just the first year of a new reference. A better comparison would be to the new SD43 from 2017. Also an anniversary reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Unlikely.
The original Anniversary Celebration Sub Date LV was recognized at the time as a special watch and serious collectors immediately sought, and bought, mint examples. A black and blue insert on a GMT is not really meaningful in the grand scheme of things. Now the original ceramic release of the red/blue version, which is a return to the original classic trim, may be one to hang onto. It definitely has historic meaning. In any case, trying to crystal-ball what will catch the eye of future collectors could be a frustrating exercise.

In my opinion it doesn't really matter.

I just like to wear my watches. If I like them and intend to keep them, it doesn’t concern me what their value is. But everyone has their own idea on this topic.

On BLNR, newer the better. Original LV was a different reason as already stated. Now looking at the current ceramic LV, it would be the same as your BLNR...newer the better.

I would say with regards to this specific model ref, the newer the better.
That's not to take away from your 2013, lovely watch. |

A 2016 watch as an exampe is still under warranty, which is always priced in.
