Sub LV with 2 bezels

I've seen some TRF'ers that own a Rolex Sub LV and have an additional black bezel. Is usually an after market black sub bezel or a original Rolex part? Is it possible and how easy to obtain an original Rolex bezel? I love both bezel colors and the maxi dial of the LV. A maxi dial with a black bezel is a great looking watch.

I bought a pre-owned LV (M) and it came with a black inset. I suspect it is aftermarket because the marker does not have any lume quality like the green one. I may buy a real black inset from the sales forum here. That is the beauty of the watch-2 totally different looks.

I had the luxury of purchasing an authentic Rolex bezel with a black insert for my Sub LV. Both the bezel and insert are NOT aftermarket but were bought from a local AD.

It's a lot easier when you have to only change the full bezel instead of popping off the insert and making sure it aligns properly.

It's becoming alot harder to obtain an actual bezel with a black insert, but try the WTB/WTS section here on TRF.

Some AD's will hook you up with inserts and some won't. For the parts you can't get from a AD, I always look on sales corners for genuine parts. As already mentioned, Steve gets lots of inserts.

How much is a spare bezel and insert (as opposed to just the insert)?

Here in Canada the black insert is priced at $100 and the bezel, insert and click spring is around $300, all are expressed in Canadian funds with taxes included. Rolex of Canada will NOT sell a Sub LV insert unless you exchange a broken or used green insert.

Yo Rocky are those all day long inserts authentic Rolex or aftermarket.
