What two watches to add to my small collection ?

I currently have a three watch collection. I’m looking to add two more watches to complete my 5 piece collection. I am on the list for a Daytona at the AD I use. Was told I should get one soon, who knows? If I don’t get one soon I was thinking about an omega speedmaster man on the moon? My other options to complete the collection is a air king, explorer 1, or black bay 58. I am a foreman at a major refinery blue collar type job and travel all over the world scuba diving on my days off. What watches do you guys think work? I am open to suggestions.

I might swap one of the subs out for an LV or DSSD JC. And when you get the call for the Daytona you’re sorted.

Something without a black dial and add some variety.

I'd go Polar Exp 2 and DJ Azzurro.

Add some color to the mix. A ceramic bluesy, or a 2 tone gmt ceramic. Or even a 16622 Yacht-Master, and a hulk.

Wear them well!

Hold out for the Daytona, and use the waiting time to enjoy researching one further possible addition. Perhaps something outside of the Rolex/Tudor stable, for diversity.

What two watches to add to my small collection ?

1. Daytona or Omega Speedy
2. TT Datejust or PM piece(perhaps, Day-Date)

Then, you will have a perfect sea, air, land combo.......all bases covered

Here’s mine humble collection as well:

Gonna add a gmt piece next

I'd go for something other than Rolex/Tudor, add something different to the collection, maybe something on a leather or rubber strap too

If it was me; buy a Reverso and a Moonwatch. Sell the moonwatch once you get the Daytona. That way you have brand and complication variety, leather and steel.

Buying then Selling the moonwatch wouldn’t hurt you too bad financially either.

SD43 for one of your subs, and wait for the Daytona, preferably white dial.

Have a look at the Panerai Submersibles for some variety especially since you’re a diver.

The Daytona will round out your collection nicely

I would trade the Date Submariner for either the DSSD JC or a Hulk to add some variation in on color and still stay with the dive watch theme. I would then add the Polar Explorer II as it will give you a completely different look in the collection. The Explorer II is a very robust watch. I would wait on the Daytona-C but if the wait gets too long then a classic Speedmaster, pre-owned and complete on the bracelet, should help with the wait.

JLC reverso,
Omega Speedie Moonwatch (with Hesalite)

I'd be tempted to offload one of those Subs.

I would look at watches that are attainable. Two tone Sky D would be my first choice. Interesting watches and the most complicated movement in a Rolex. Sort of under the radar IMO.

Since you asked, IMO :

Boot the fat sub, add a white/silver dial large Reverso, Speedmaster, then start thinking of a long term grail .....................

An Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Automatic

And

A Cosmograph Daytona.

I just love both watches. Well it also depends on how much you're willing to spend on the purchase. But these two are just worth it.

Given your interest in scuba diving, I'd get an Omega Planet Ocean or Tudor Pelagos for one of them. I don't know how much use you'd get out of a chrono, but if you like the looks of them, the speedmaster or Daytona could be a good second. What about another GMT with all your travel?

Me personally if I had your collection I would add a PO/Pelagos (Depending on which you prefer) and a TT Rootbeer GMT. Then you'd be adding a nice, hefty diver and something with a bit more color as a change of pace, but still with the travel functionality.

Nice collection but it would be nice to have one watch that is a little more "dressy" for want of a better word. Since you are getting two more, I would invest in a nice dress watch on a leather strap, or if you still desire the WR a datejust or day date is in order!

If you choose to sell one of your Subs which I doubt as you didn't imply suggestions of letting anything go I would look at a Planet Ocean. I have a few Sub watches including a 5 and 6 dgt. and the PO gives my 114060 a real run for the money, since I've added mine my Subc gets practically zero wear anymore. It is a heavier and thicker piece. You also can find them easily at a non boutique Omega AD for a minimum 20% discount, i found better but in the end I went for a slightly used 8500 series. For another Rolex a DJ41or Milgauss would also add variety to your collection..

First this is a very lovely collection, if you would add any watch or watches to this collection I think a GMT and a SD43 should do justice to that.

For years I owned a Sub and a TT datejust with jubilee bracelet. Perfect combo IMO. I would trade 2 for a TT Datejust.
