Anyone have an idea where I can pickup a used Michele watch in the NYC area?

My friend - it is a bad investment. They're just bracelets which tell time, overpriced ones. Plenty of choices in the comparable price-point which will hold much better value. Just my two cents...

Friend didn't listen to me and spent a ton buying one with diamonds
for his GF a few mths ago.
Its quit working twice and now the band is falling apart.

If you insist on buying one BUY USED!

I'm going to go against the grain here. If she wants a Michele watch...get her the Michele. Chances are she knows nothing about watches and could care less about the movement, history, etc. They are very popular right now and I'm not just saying that because I just bought my wife one.

Seriously though, you can find pretty good discounts on the watches, straps, and bracelets. I tried talking my wife into a more WIS friendly brand, but it was a futile effort. In the end I went with what she likes and she couldn't be happier with it.

I hear ya...But my Fiance can be steered in a direction when it comes to watches, as she know that I know a great deal more than her when it comes to them...As long as the watch fits what she is looking for that is. LOL. Thanks for the advice.

This...I believe, is the difference between Fiance vs. Wife...

Good luck with your purchase.

Get her a Cartier....

Still not an amazing watch BUT at least Cartier is an old
time respectable company....

Techno Marine? Michelle? Do you love this girl?

If so buy her something nice

If not go ahead with the above or even a Toy watch (yes its a company similar to TechnoMarine)

For what you will spend on a really nice Michelle you could possibly get here into a Midsize (used) Rolex DateJust or something (again depends on which Michelle you are getting)

If you go Michelle thats fine just hope she really likes it as they have no resale value BUT that doesn't matter its what she like that does. Sad thing about Michelle is they just don't last....

We are saving for a wedding but I thought it would be nice to get her a nice watch before the wedding...She likes chunky watches rolex is not her style. She wants something with Diamonds, and I not a fan of cartier at all.

Hmmm well Cartier would at least be quality and hold its value (if bought used).

Sorry, not well versed on womens watches.

Just have MANY friends who know I am a watch junkie calling me asking who can fix this watch my wife bought or how can I sell this watch (they are always Michelle or Movado)

Tag makes some attractive ladies models that would not be much $$ than a Michele.

I will take a look at the tags, but I know she wants some diamonds and it needs to be chunky...I myself am not a tag fan.

Sounds like you have already made up your mind....

Id suggest hitting up some of the other forums and putting up WTB ads
I am sure you will find something at a good deal...

The funny thing is that Michelle really had copied Cartiers style....
