New to AP

Hi, I’m new to AP and would like to get the new 15500 either silver or black dial.
Is there a waiting list like Rolex?
I also love the 15400. I live in NY any particular AD I can call?

Thanks!

Hi Barry,

Yes, there is a bit of a waiting list. I’m in AZ but I have my first AP (black 15500) coming from NY. I hope to see it at the end of this month! Good luck to you.

Thanks so much, I’d like to order outside of NY; any ADs in Arizona? Good luck with your new watch; such a beautiful piece!

Within NYC you have 2 options, the AP boutique on 57th Street and Material Good (AD). There definitely will be a wait for the 15500, but at least if they’re going to choose to give you an allocation they’ll ask you for a 25% deposit which guarantees that you’ll be getting the piece.

Also the 15400 is discontinued so you’d have to find one secondhand. To get a 15400 secondhand you’ll probably end up paying roughly equivalent to retail for the 15500 but without any wait as the 15400 is easy to find secondhand as it was discontinued recently.

Not sure about silver as it’s just released, black dial i would assume 2 months wait.

If you don’t mind going gray, you can get it from c24 for about a 10pc premium and no wait which would be the equivalent of a sales tax/VAT/GST. However, the usual disclaimers of going gray applies (warranty/authenticity etc).

It will be harder to obtain being a new client. In NY as another member mentioned it will be AP on 57th or Material good but any dealer you go to it will be the same story. Close to AZ you have the Vegas locations with the boutique in Crystals and an AD in Palazzao, I was there recently and same story, very dry especially Palazzo they had like 5 pieces. Best to open your options and cast a wide net to both models, different colors, and new/pre-owned.

New York has the most Boutiques/ADs/Greys, but since you're NY resident, so you won't save the sale tax. 15400: you can get it from Greys (from other states) at a little premium.

I’m open to both models and color dials. I really appreciate your help guys! If it’s a 2 month wait it’s worth it.

AP Royal Oak Chrono in Rose Gold Blue Dial

26331 AP Royal Oak Chrono in Rose Gold Blue Dial. I love this watch. Anyone know if there is a waiting list for this model, or is it easier to obtain vs the 15500?

Most of the time Rose Gold models are always easier than stainless steel models. 2 weeks ago, there was one seller at TRF list this model (26331OR.OO.1220OR.01) at better price than AP Boutique/AD and no sale tax too. Even at grey dealers on Chrono24, this model still cost less than msrp+sale tax.
Check with Boutique/AD first, if it is available, buy it from them to establish the relationship for future purchase. If it isn't available and you don't want to wait, just go grey for better price.
