Would anyone choose a 126234 Blue over a 126710 Pepsi?
I currently own the Pepsi and I wear it quite a lot. 36mm Rollies are just so comfortable. I love the look of the Blue 126235 on Jubilee. My daily attire is very casual. I do have a 116500 black. Big question is would anyone actually choose a 126234 blue over the Pepsi?

I absolutely would. 36mm is my size. Any larger just feels like it's too much for my wrist. I want the watch to feel like it's a part of me and any bigger than 36/37mm feels too bulky

I would. Just personal taste, no great insights.

36 is not my size. And as much as I love my blue dial DJ41, I love GMTs even more and after having tried the BLRO on, I'd definitely choose it over any DJ.

In the real world you could probably find a Blue DateJust. Not so easy for a BLRO. It would be a little bit harder timing steaks on a grille with a DJ.

Me too. Not overly keen on the Pepsi.. assuming I get a Pepsi and not a Coke or purple one. That Datejust is classy af.

Both look good, but I prefer 41mm DateJust more 36mm.
In this case Pepsi would be my choice. |

Sure and I have. I didn't buy a 36 mm model but I don't like Rolex or any watch brands sports watches. The explorer one is probably the only exception. I don't like the big bezels. I think they're nice watches they're just not for me.

If you prefer it more then why not. Doesn't matter what the general social media consensus thinks unless you're trying to resell it.

I would add the DJ 36, in your case. Why not have a nice trio instead?

Go for a DJ41 Blue. I have a diamond blue dial, and like to ware it more than the two so called (hot) sports watches I have. More than the Rootbeer, or Hulk.

Both iconic watches... both beautiful watches... Go with the one you love ... I have both those and enjoy wearing both for different occasions.
My Pepsi is only for work... My DJ36 is part of my daily rotation along with my AirKing.

Pepsi is good for collection but for daily wear Datejust is perfect!

The DJ would be an addition to my collection and I would not trade or sell the Pepsi to fund it. Look at an older DJ 36 mm or maybe even vintage to scratch that itch. You would be surprised at how inexpensive these models are in the pre-owned market.

I have both. Wearing a 36DJ feels like wearing a kid's watch after the PepsiC. But only for a few moments. Then its beauty shines. Love the faceted dots that emanate from bezel when the sun hits it just right while driving around.

All just personal preference. Mine would be the DJ I think it is and will forever be close to a perfect and classic watch. The Pepsi just doesn’t do it for me aside from some vintage, weathered, original/nice patina ones which id love to own someday. If both new would take the DJ no question.

I'd take the DJ. I find it to be a better looking watch although I think it looks even better on the oyster.
I'm in the minority but I happen think the usefulness of a GMT function is over exaggerated on the forum even as someone who travels frequently across time zones. |
