Issue with a new Sub date

I picked up a Sub date new from an AD few days ago. When I pull the crown to position 2 to set time, sometimes the crown will slip/click before time can be set. At few other times, there is a distinct clunky feeling when setting time as if gears are not not properly aligned. But 7/10 times, the crown is pulled out to position 2 without an issue and time setting is smooth.Has anyone else experienced this?

Not unusual.

Several things need to align and move into position at each detent. Simply push the crown in again, give it a turn or two, and pull it back to the spot you want.

I've had my GMT for about a year now and the crown function has smoothed out over the first year. Initially it was weird and would get stuck at certain positions but it works perfectly now! Give it a few months at least to break in. I am sure it is fine.

normal, my 16570 does that sometimes also

Crown functions will be finicky on a brand new watch. The more you use the crown for setting time and date, the smoother it will function.

Yes - I have seen this with some of my watches through the years - seems normal enough.
