The Pepsi GMT is readily available to buy now!

Well, it is if you believe what the article in Esquire magazine says!

In truth I called a number of AD’s who will tell you the exact opposite.

Why would Esquire print such nonsense?

Well it is not completely untrue

I’m pretty sure if you walked into any AD and said “I’ll take that platinum DayDate 40 and a Pepsi” the Pepsi would come out the safe pretty quick

When I was searching for the BLRO last year, the three ADs I talked to in the Dallas area, told me even if I were to buy a PM watch, I will still have to wait for my turn. They will bump me higher on their list, as they have a list just for folks who are bundling. Nothing in the safe.

There is huge demand for these watches and I can't believe the AD will just keep a BLRO/Daytona/BLNR sitting in their safe without someone's name on it.

One may get lucky because a shipment just came in and the AD has not had the time to call their VIP clients and will bundle to get the PM watch sold.

You actually called?
You’ll need very strong purchase history or relationship to score one of these.

Take everything an AD tells you with a pinch of salt

When it comes to ADs and Rolex...money talks and BS walks

Written by someone who’s been told by the editor “I want an article about Rolex by Wednesday” without doing any fact checking. Probably doesn’t even own a Rolex. Just a recycled article from before.

Esquire should stay in their lane. Most of what they print is nonsense anyway.

They have the white face Daytona on that list too so that tells you all you need to know.

That Esquire article turns out to be really nothing more than a bunch of free advertising for Rolex.

Also it points people to the typically hard to get models. More "I gotta have . . ." grief for the AD's to deal with.

Amusing.

I like how they also include a statement of "That You Can Actually Buy In 2020". Yes... but probably not readily available from an AD.

Couldn't agree more. What a load of misleading baloney (to the unschooled general public)

They same Dallas and Fort Worth ADs were in a frenzy to sell HULK and BLNRs days before the mandatory shutdown. It's bunch of horse sh*t. Most of these "jewlery" boutiques are milking the heck out of it.

I wanted a Calatrava white gold and a steel Pepsi. AD said yes to the former, no to the latter. So according to my experience last month, Pepsi's still hard to get.

Not hard to fix the article to make it accurate: Just change the price to the current market price and change the link from rolex.com to Davidsw.com.

That ad reads like click bait - just rehashed tidbits from the internet. It makes it seem like you can buy models online fromRolex.com.
