All Watch Roads (This Year) Have Led To Here

Just bought (another) new watch today!

This is the 7th (and definitely last) watch of the year.

While I spend a lot of time in watch shops, I very seldom actually walk in and buy a watch - if I do buy a watch from a shop, it's usually a long and agonizing decision-making process. Well, today I walked into the Ben Bridge in the La Jolla UTC, saw this in the case and, after all of about 2 minutes of agonizing over it, I walked out wearing this beauty!!

Congrats. That is really stunning. Just last week I had to decide between this and the SS. I think the TT is nicer but I don’t like watches that attract attention and this one really does!

If I could have gotten a SS, I'm sure I would have!

A little story behind this watch - about 10 years ago, I bought a 116713 that I *LOVED*. Unfortunately, I had to sell it and have missed it terribly since then. I've wanted to buy another one, but hadn't found the right one. Then, when I saw this, it just sang to me and I realized it would be a good replacement for the GMT that I didn't have anymore.

Thanks for the feedback!

I got lucky but I honestly think both the SS and your TT are equally nice. If I didn’t already own a Bluesy I probably would have bought the TT. The black gold combo with that bezel is outstanding!

Nothing tremendously exciting, but some fun watches nonetheless. It's kind of a convoluted story, but, I was trying to scratch a big itch by buying piecemeal when I should have just bought what I wanted to start with.

This year's watches (before the SkyDweller) have been:

Omega Seamaster 300M
Armand Nicolet Diver
Montblanc Heritage Spirit Perpetual Calendar
Baume & Mercier Classima Jumping Hour (have always wanted a jump hour watch and found this one at a pretty good price)
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT (I figured that, since I would never end up with a SS Rolex GMT, I might as well get this)
Cartier Santos

But, now I'm done for a good long while.
