Incoming Seiko's
Stopped by my AD yesterday to check out some of the new releases and decided to pick up three of them. I got the SLA037, SPB153 and the SPB143. All wear great on the wrist and usually I prefer larger watches but these have a place in the collection. The big debate for me was do you want to spend the money for the SLA037 but once I got to handle and try on the watch it was a done deal. I could not leave it behind. I am also going to buy the SLA039 and the SLA041 when they arrive. I assume the remaining two SLA's will be great. The SPB's are a home run for fit and finish and they wear great on the wrist. With so many great releases this year, and I have not seen the Grand Seiko's yet, I will have to do some collection evaluation and see what fits where and what I really want. For now though I am pleased.

All 3 are fantastic
I would have likely done the same thing and left with all 3. All look great on your wrist. The SPB153 is on the list.

Congratulations! Were you able to get a discount on the SLA037? It's so expensive.

Holy Christmas! Nice haul! Wonderful selection!
Nice to cross off the wish list with a trifecta like that! Enjoy them. I have a SPB145 on the way and want to handle that Willard in the flesh first.

How does that green 153 wear. I have a smaller wrist (6.5) and fear probably too large? Never tried that case shape before

I also own the SLA033, reissue of the Captain Willard, and the 153 is smaller but sits on the wrist nicely. I do not think you will have an issue with wear size as the case is very flat and it sits nicely on the wrist. The more difficult thing is to find one. My AD only got one, I purchased it but he has a list of about 10 guys who want one. If you can find it, I would go for it. The green is nice also, more flat green than Hulk green and that is nice.
