FS: 1972 Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 Wideboy Dial. Mint and Serviced.

Hey TRF, I am offering my 1972 Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601. A beautiful non lume silver sunburst dial with a fresh service to ensure its good to go for years to come. This dial type is known as the “wide boy” because of the usual hour markers and handset. You can see they are block-like, and well, quite wide. These were only produced for a short period of time during the early 70’s and I believe the idea behind the design was to make the dial more legible with these thick hour markers and hands. Video of Watch: https://imgur.com/crMkxQx Case: Excellent condition case with little to no signs of wear. Lugs are thick and balanced. 18K white gold fluted bezel is minty. Both case and bezel are unpolished. Dial: Good condition non-lume T SWISS T silver sunburst pie-pan dial with silver wideboy hour markers and handset. Open 6/9 date disc. Bracelet: Tight jubilee bracelet (something rarely seen on a 48 year old watch). 20 links total, will fit up to around a 7 - 7.2 inch wrist. Clasp has a 1972 mark. Accessories: service receipt from cltimeworks. Notes: 2020 service from cltimeworks, watch is running like a champ. I'm asking $4350 shipped. Preferred methods of payment are bank wire and Zelle. I hand deliver in the Sacramento or Bay area. Thanks for looking and feel free to message me with any questions!! IG: https://www.instagram.com/mvv_watches |
