FS- Vintage Rolex 1803 1.4 Million Day-Date 36 Champagne Pie Pan Yellow Gold Box

For sale is an excellent condition 36mm 18 karat yellow gold Rolex Day-Date “President”. The 1803 is a 1.4 million serial, circa approximately 1966, and is accompanied by boxes but no papers. The Rolex features a brushed yellow gold case, which is accented by a fixed fluted yellow gold bezel. The Day-Date is mounted on a yellow gold President bracelet with: brushed outerlinks, polished center links, and is secured by a hidden deployment clasp. The bracelet contains 19 full size links, and will comfortably fit a 7 inch wrist, but does contain a fair amount of stretch, would rate it 70% plus. The Rolex features a champagne “Pie-Pan” dial with applied polished yellow gold stick hour markers that are contrasted by black emaneling, gold tritium coated hands, a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock, and a day window aperture at 12 o’clock. The dial has been preserved extremely well, as the tritium lume plots are mostly present and have acquired a rich golden cream patina, which accents the dial magnificently. The movement used in the 1803 is the non quickset Rolex Calibre 1556, which was COSC certified, and is covered by a 15 month in house warranty. Overall the Rolex is in excellent condition, as the case and lugs are thick, and the watch contains no visible imperfections of the naked eye.
