Date Windows on Pams...

Anyone else thinks Panerai should put some detail into their date windows. It’s so boring to just have a simple cut-out.

I think they would be (more) amazing if they would have a frame like A.Lange & Söhne does with their date windows.

Anyone else here shares my opinion??

Welcome to the forum

I actually prefer most Panerai with any date at all, so the date window is a non starter for me

Imho no date window frame is needed on a Panerai. Sure, some dress watches look better with framed windows, others don't. jmho

I kind of like how Panerai handles the date window. In general, the date complication is considered "less desireable" on most Panerai. When Panerai includes it, it does so with minimal attention or fanfare on the dial. I think it works well.

I used to really dislike the date complication on my Panerai, but I've really grown to love and accept it on my 1312.

As it is, it’s consistent with the sandwich dial cut-outs: simple and clean.

I like the way Panerai does it now, no fuss, no nonsense, it’s just there blending in.
I didn’t like the magnified date previously used on Panerais either drew too much attention to it Imho

I like it the way it is; I can’t see the date anyways... so long as I can read the time. Lol

Does your PAM514 have ecru lume? It looks like it doesn't in this picture. Mine was clearly faux aged. Were there two variations of this released?

Same. Would prefer it if my 441 didn't have any date whatsoever.

My date font matches the rest of the watch in color. I think that’s pretty special.

You are not alone. I don´t like them either. Sometimes I think that a trainee just stamped them out

But as mentioned before.....I am old and I just can´t see the details anymore
