April 20th

Lots of people at work are concerned about strange behavior on April 20th....

I think all the TRFers should wear 2 watches that day

Ok, I'll bite. What's the significance of April 20th?

hmm... nevermind I guess

When I was a teacher, we always were on high alert for odd behavior as it's the "celebration of cannabis culture" day and also the anniversary of the Columbine shootings and OK City bombing (which I think was actually the day before or after, but proximity is close).

You put it well - I had written "the stupid act stupider" but I was looking for a more tactful way....

You don't want to be walking in Downtown Vancouver on April 20th.

Hippy smell + marijuana smell does not mix as well as they think it does.

10,000 people gather annually to contribute to Global Warming.

Yup. 9:02 a.m. I was driving to work later than usual after a doc appt. and the explosion rocked my car.

I've never heard of 4/20, though.

As for cannabis smoking, I think they should decriminalize possession of small amounts(Here in America). Our prisons are full of offenders who have small amounts when busted. I'm sure this view will not be popular but to me it's no different than drinking alcohol!!!

Or just tax it and make it legal, then all the hype would go away....and then they will run studies and say it causes cancer...lol

In New York, possession of 25 grams or less is decriminalized. $100 fine.

I've never touched the stuff (swear) so I really don't know how much it affects a person or how dangerous it is. But I'm sure it would be a cash cow if it were taxed

Wow, no way. I always remember that day, as it's my b-day. In fact, I recall being glued to the TV, and knowing that it would be etched in my memory...
