Technically “retailED” as it is has not been available (LE) for a while now from an AD/boutique.

With that said, $12k is humorous. While it is a fantastic watch- my favorite GS (got mine for just under msrp)- it’s not even close to a $12k watch IMO.

I’d say they aren’t trying that hard.

While being a very unrealistic asking price, but I’ve noticed a new GS trend, where more and more models are now going for above their original MSRP like the SBGJ227 (peacock), the SBGH387, the SBGH269........ etc.
I guess the brand is getting more popular and some folks are willing to pay extra to get a discontinued limited edition or avoid wait, to put it on their wrists sooner!

Good for GS creating that attention to their brand!
Honestly, I believe, if many GS watches had the PP logo and “Swiss made” on the dial, they would go for $40k+

I am not sure this is a good thing. If this continues to become a broad trend, desirable future GS releases are going to be hard to get and next thing you know, ADs will start talking about multi-year waiting list and other BS.

Crazy price but a nice watch. Used to own one myself but traded it and got nowhere near that price :) Maybe I'm just bitter.

I definitely see lightly used models selling for BNIB all the time on Chrono...perhaps a few profiteers out there during Covid or something

Definitely a covid thing on my opinion. While a portion of the world have lost jobs and income there are plenty of people still earning money but unable to spend it. Discretionary purchases become easier when you have much lower outgoings.

I must say, it is a good watch to have in your collection but the price is really scary.

Watch is in mind condition w/ some [very] minor hairlines which you'd need a loop to see.
