Is the fine adjust springbar, in the YG Daytona easy link clasp (short iteration) supposed be gold or steel?

I would have thought all springbars in gold models are all gold. I've never seen a steel springbar on a gold watch??

The Rolex gold spring bars are either 10K or 14K. Personally I wouldn't use SS spring bars on your 18K gold watch or bracelet.

This is my 116618LB clasp. Appears to be a pin that is not YG.

I thought all little parts in full PM are PM too, but clearly not!

My 116718 has the same piece in the clasp mechanism

My 116505 has the same piece as well. I always assumed it’s a spring of some sort and can’t be made of gold. The springbars do seem to be gold though.

Damn I need to check my gold pieces. LOL

Thought all the springbars were gold. Looks like I'm wrong. I know for sure the springbars that connect to the case are full gold though.

Looks like it.

Can you confirm this after your check?

I can’t find any SS on my DD bracelet.

I can’t advise on other gold bracelets.

Everything on the 116618 is YG, except for that part(s)? in the clasp. Obviously there is a reason for it.

My DD doesn’t have the SS piece like my Daytona or the sub above. Because it doesn’t have the same clasp, I assume. I know if they could make it out of gold they would, so there must be a reason.

Mine is steel. Looks like its correct for the milled clasps.

As gold is quite soft by comparison to SS I’m guessing that particular part must get a lot of wear otherwise it would be gold like the rest of the bracelet.

Can’t think if any other reason why it would be steel.
