Some 16570 question
Hi all, looking to pick up a 16570 soon and have some questions.
1. Can all 16570 have the bracelet taken out and swapped in alternative straps? I remember hearing somewhere where certain vintages of this watch cannot. 2. Will non-tritium hour markers patina? 3. Does the 16570 dial itself patina like the 16550? Thanks! |

1. I've not seen a 16570 where the bracelet could not be removed.
2. No, non-tritium hour markers will not patina. I've had a 16570 for 19 years, the hour markers are not tritium and there is no patina. 3. Only the 16550 is known for its patina'd cream colored dial. |

What was the deal with the drilled lug holes (from the outside)? How does that different from lug holes that are not drilled from the outside in terms of being able to swap straps?

They hold a strap on in exactly the same way, only access to the spring bar differs.

Any 20mm strap will work on that watch. I actually like the 16570 on a jubilee.
The beauty of luminova is the fact that it does not patina .
