Predictions off limit topic? September Incoming
I think most people have heard about Rolex releasing new watches on September 1st. I tried doing a search on the forum, didn’t see many threads and saw all the ones that had predictions and talked about this were closed threads.
I didn’t see anything in the forum rules against talking about predictions. Is this an off limit topic? Curious why. If it’s not - what are people’s predictions on: 1. If the releases are really going to happen on Sept 1st. 2. Supposedly the watches are going to be stocked by ADs the day of. Maybe you won’t get one cause they’ll have probably just one piece, but people believe they’ll be stocked? 3. What watches are coming? Personally - i think it makes a lot of sense they’re gonna release. People are mostly out of lockdown now, and I’ve heard from dealers that June and July had higher revenues than any month last year. Seems like people are definitely spending after coming out of lockdown, and despite the crazy unemployment, less so for the folks that are buying luxury watches to begin with. Rolex I’m sure had watches to release at Baselworld; and given Baselword was supposed to be months ago, it means that they would have these pieces ready for the ADs now. If sales are picking back up, and pieces are ready - why not release watches in September with them stocked at the ADs? Predictions... I have no idea. Maybe more ceramic dial Daytona’s, namely PM Daytona with ceramic dial that has a metal bracelet? |

IBTL.
New movement in the Sub... Plus blue dial and new sizes from 36-42mm (got this info from a very reliable source down the pub). SS stock will increase tenfold so all models will be on display (discounts for sure - that one was something I had a dream about once that now feels so real it must be true). Platinum bracelet and case option on the Oyster Perpetual - because it's the hottest model at the moment. Oh the Hulk will be discontinued... That's just logic. |

I think it's still a few days out for any possible leaks to be reliable. I'm hoping the Hulk gets discontinued as I've just bought one :-)

No one knows anything and any talk is pure speculation. It's expected the watches will be in stock as soon as announced, why not, seems logical but it will be a crap shoot on who gets to buy what, vvips will get the call first.
It's not a useful discussion because no one knows anything for sure, we'll sound like a bunch of kids blabbering about which power ranger is coolest. Eleven more days. |
