Rubber B over time
About four months ago I changed my bracelet to a Rubber B on my GMT 116710LN. I liked the green highlight on the band but after wearing during the day the band felt stiff and hard against my wrist.
Today I changed back to the original bracelet with polished center links and I like the feel which is more comfortable. The nice outcome is the watch looks so different and the cost was well below another purchase. |

Good way to change the look. I always go back to the steel bracelet on my Explorer II, but appreciate it more after some strap time.

I also tried what you did...and I always felt that the GMT belonged on the PCL bracelet. And the oyster is the most comfortable bracelet...nothing comes close to it...
And right at home where it belongs...on the original PCL I’m sorry that I don’t know how to take pictures to make the watch look better. But the watch does look waaaay better in person. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

PCL's on a tool watch irritate me.
Yeh - I have one. Just sayin'.

The look of the Rubber B has a place when trying to be under the radar when traveling in some places but after switching back for just one day the original bracelet is so more more comfortable to wear .... at least for me.

I was wearing my DSSD (first version) on the rubber B and then thought I would change it back to the bracelet. Had it on for 2mins and changed it back to the rubber b. For me the dssd wears better on the rubber b. The bracelet is too narrow which is probably why Rolex brought out the newer versions with wider bracelet.

I like the Oyster but I really like the Everest on my AK. Much more comfortable and looks great. Oh, and don't have to worry about scratching up the Oyster...

I've heard that Everests are softer, more comfy than a RubberB? I've never owned either but thinking about trying one.

The occasional changeup is nice.

I find the Everest and RubberB straps nice change-ups. Especially during summer months when I'm likely to play in the water they make a lot of sense to me. I also find the Everest the more comfortable of the two.

Can't speak on the RubberB since I've never had one, but, I'm glad I got the Everest. It's well made and the service and delivery was top notch.

I've often swapped out the oyster bracelet on my LN for my Rubber-B, especially when I'm traveling. It was somewhat rigid or hard on my wrist at first, but slowly became more pliable as I used it. The strap definitely gives a different look on the watch and won't be so paranoid of messing up the PCL's on the oyster bracelet. I do like the brushed links on it as well, but looks too much like a Sub when you swap it. I've done it a couple times swapping between the Sub-C bracelet on my Hulk.
