Interview with Patrick Heiniger. Very good!!
As I am still a newb, I don't know if it is OK to post a link to another forum (I don't think it is) so I am taking the time to post this in its entirety here. Mods, please remove this if I am out of line.
I stumbled across it and thought it was very worthy. It's too bad the man resigned, or as some believe was forced to resign. He had some great ideas and thoughts about the timepiece we all love. Enjoy! Photo of a gardener that works the Rolex grounds at the HQ. Notice the ss DJ and the Rolex emblem on the front of the pants.

Yes, thanks for posting Richard, it was very interesting. My favorite part was where he says Rolex is: Passion. I guess that's the best way to describe how I feel about the brand.

I was interested to see that he thought the future of Rolex was women. I have to agree!
This probably means that we will see a lot more models for the ladies coming soon or perhaps it is that women are buy more and more 40mm Rolexes that typically have been purchased by men in the past. I think we will see a lot of marketing toward this and perhaps see a lot of billboards with women sporting the 40mm models!

Thanks for the post.
It would be funny to find a Rolex logo on a pair of Dickies work pants... |

I would love to see a couple of commercials with the women of sports wearing the 40mm timepieces. I bet it would cause a huge interest among women. Say Ana Inanovic wearing the Milgaus GV or perhaps Venus Williams wearing the iconic Daytona while on court. Stephanie Rice would look great in a 40mm Platinum YM, a Sub for SD!

Very interesting interview, especially the comment about not being subject to financial analysts.
I think the new CEO has a background in fanancial analysis. Also the comment about being able to buy the next best building to Buckingham Palace. How does one reconcile that with the closing down of Beverley Hills? One can't

Very interesting and good to read...I wonder what the real story is behind his "retirement"
Thank you Richard!
