went shopping with the wife and kids to westfield earlier today.really been thinking long and hard about the sub date for the last few weeks.poped into ernest jones to get an idea about price etc and was told by the young lady that there was a two year waiting list .however the non date would be quicker to source.havent seen many subs at ads recently.surely this has to be insane!!!is everybody buying one these days?i understand that the daytona has a waiting list but why one for the sub?welcome your views.

The lies you get from AD's IS the reason I dislike going to, much less purchasing from an AD. I'd rather buy from a trusted seller; who gives me honest answers.

Goldsmiths at Liverpool 1 and David M Robinson had one each on Saturday. £3980 RRP.

I have not visited an AD that has not had a sub in stock. Waiting list my a$$. Sounds like you should seek another AD to buy from.

Jamieson and Carry (142 Union St, Aberdeen - 01224 641219) had one in their window yesterday morning and I understand that Steven Henderson (1 Union Street, Dundee - 01382 221339) carry an extensive used stock.

I have had dealing with both places and Phillip Carry is about the best guy to deal with at Jamieson and Carry and Steven Henderson himself is the only person I would deal with from his place.

Good luck.

Colin.

My local one has a Sub ND in the window, and a Sub Date and LV coming in (although they may be spoken for). Two years is frankly ridiculous, and I'd definitely be looking elsewhere. Although they don't hang around for long, there are plenty going into windows on a regular basis.

Very easy to source......A few years ago, they were hard to source when Rolex was rationalising production facilities. But very easy now.

This a probably a ploy by the AD to position the Sub Date as being 'hard to get' and 'rare', so that they can justify not giving you any discount at all.

I'd say, move on to another AD, or buy from a respected seller here on TRF.
